Happy… as it shows two people are together because they love each other. Now that’s mushy!
engagements like acceptance speeches should be short and sweet and not drawn out…or so Miss Havisham would have us believe.
Definitely Happy. Marriage, on the others hand, with the company of snores, wet towels, unmade beds, having to cook, is tragic.
Perhaps it depends on the expectations with which it all began?
i am fine with another anniversary. but if it stretches beyond that, i will start questioning the relationship.

Isn’t being engaged the nice and fine state that saves you from parental lectures if caught displaying affection, while keeping you out of “OMG we’re irrevocably bound to each other” horrors?
Suki: Parsis are cool about PDA, hon. At least the ones I’m surrounded by. We’ve all seen pictures of our parents smooching at their wedding. And extended family roaring “Once more!” So I’m not qualified to answer that. 🙂
