Me: Okay, Zoroastrianism 101–What was the Prophet’s name?

The Boy: Zarathushtra.

Me: Correct. What was his mother’s name?

The Boy: Umm….Amma?

Hahah… global melting pot huh! 🙂

alice: Thanks for the new year wishes. 🙂 Pateti is the day *before* New Year, a day of repentance for the previous year’s wrongdoings.

Revathy: Worn your new cholis yet? 🙂

Ah, wasn’t aware of the distinction.

So is wishing someone Navroze the correct way?

alice: It’s a commonly held misconception. 🙂 Navroze Mubarak or Saal Mubarak is the way to go.

    ‘Amma’ is lovely nomenclature
    Yielding to his inherent nature
    The Boy got it right
    Made us grin alright
    Tickling our funny-bone ligature!

    alice: Thank you! 🙂

Aunty G: 🙄 <— is all I have to say.

Revathy: So glad you like them. Chhaggan, may his soul rest in peace, rocks! 😉

dipali55: Dughdova. He's mugged it up now, and impressed a clueless Parsi friend by spouting it at dinner last week.
